We celebrate a moment of profound gratitude and recognition for Charles Hoskinson and the teams at Input Output, EMURGO and the Cardano Foundation, who have brought Cardano to the world. Their dedication, vision, and unwavering commitment have laid the foundation upon which we now stand. They have shown the power of purpose, embodying the very essence of Ikigai — finding joy and meaning in one’s work, while serving the greater good.

As we embark on the next stage of our journey, we transition from the efforts of the few to the strength of the many. With a shared sense of purpose, we, the Cardano community, commit ourselves to building on this foundation with collective wisdom, passion, and energy. Each of us carries a piece of Cardano’s future, united by a common cause and the belief that together, we can achieve something truly extraordinary.

## Motivation
The dream laid out by Charles in his Ted talk and whiteboard video, serves as a beacon, a reminder of why this journey began. We are driven by the knowledge that our efforts are not just about revolutionising financial systems, but are about realising a vision that holds the potential to enable freedom and prosperity for all of humanity. We are motivated by the chance to be part of something transformational, something that will stand as a testament to what people can achieve when united by a common cause.

## Rationale
As we reflect on this moment, we make this commitment, not just to those who came before us, but to ourselves and to those who will follow. We submit this governance action in the era of decentralised governance, to serve as a reminder of our purpose - of Cardano’s Ikigai
