My camera had film issues and I was on an island with no way to replace. Human error! So I would like too to write a bit about the experience of such a fast to paint a picture.

As the body fades away you realize you consume to pass time and distract yourself. Temptation abounds everywhere and people become possessed to tempt you. You must withdraw to a desert or an island, physically if not in mind and spirit. But even there your mind is active and the demons never go away.

The demons encourage you to consume. When you stop all consumption, they attack in full force.

You sit as time extends eternally. There is nothing to do but create. Or pray.

All weaknesses become apparent, all corruption brought to light. Stored toxicity laches out of your cells and your body is in crisis. All crutches are out of reach.

You are helpless to fight back. The weakness of the flesh is exposed.

The eye leads the body. With nothing to take in but images, you can turn to your eyes or your mind's eye. Your mind's eye looks upon a wasteland of short-lived images and words delivered to you by the network; ads and jingles; memories of time spent consuming the fruits of the world; and down the dark hole of the Self. The demons cackle as you shut your eyes.

All sin forms first as an image, says St. Mark the Ascetic.

The networks are prowled by technological demons. The power of fast-moving image and word on the human is extraordinary. We are moulded to consume, and the speed with which the images and words affect us becomes hyper speed. The consumption shapes the soul.

People begin to live the images and words they see. They become the image, their mind the word.

In whose Image are we made? On whose Word does our mind rely?

Are we programming, or being programmed?

Friends, we live in a time of great spiritual peril.

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?"

When the only option left is to create, where is the raw material to transform? Where is Energy and Love and inspiration?

What can sustain the heart and the mind and the soul as the body rots away?

The choices are THE SORCERER or THE SPIRIT.
