# GM 1.1 — Treasury Freeze Pending Gov Process Approval ### **Author:** Nodallydude ### **Proposal date:** February 7th 2022 ### **Summary:** We have moved quickly as a DAO to date in order to meet the deadline and market urgency of our first Studio drop. That speed has afforded us great success! The speed we moved came with a tradeoff, of having to use a fluid governance process that was likely faster than most members could effectively contribute as a whole. I propose we freeze all treasury outflows (excludes ongoing expenses to the studio & work completed) until such a time that: 1. We have established and voted on a a governance process to use going forward. 1. This ensures future DAO decisions can reach consensus, and the largest percent of contributors can take time to think and comment accordingly. 2. We are able to plan around the governance process. 3. We are able to more efficiently make decisions when tight timelines do effect us. 2. The Discord has been updated for ease of use and alignment. 1. This ensure new members are able to quickly onboard. 2. Redirects energy to DAO related objectives. Today, the Discord structure is more set up as an alpha group. I believe we can flush out these two items within 7-10 business days as we do have a governance framework we can use now, and we have already discussed Discord updates, they just require implementation. ### **Risks:** - This will limit our ability to move quickly if we need to in the next 1-2 weeks. - This discussion / vote is not complete in the allotted timeframe ### Relevant Links**:** [gm DAO Proposed Governance Process](https://www.notion.so/gm-DAO-Governance-Process-3e3dfa72b89448d69b6c27bde31b790d) ### **Payout recipient:** NA ### **Payout amount:** NA ### **How have you already contributed to the DAO?** I am a moderator in gm dao and gm studio, a curation panel member, and a collector ### **How do you want to contribute to the DAO going forward**?**** I intend to continue to help with operational and process refinement.
