# GM 1.2 — Enact Standardized Gov Processes

- **Prospective paid contributors to gmDAO are encouraged to propose a trial period of one or more cycles to check compatibility. Trial payouts typically range from $300-600 per cycle.*

### **Summary:**

Enact a formal governance framework that we use to going forward. This framework encompasses the following:

1. Drafting Documents and Proposals — Templates and tracker [here](https://www.notion.so/DAO-Proposals-c0ba8e87890b4ddaa14d1c992229170c).
2. Voting Processes — temperature check via Discord poll first, followed by Snapshot, which needs to hit a 60% yes consensus to be passed. 
3. [Governance Cycles](https://www.notion.so/Governance-Cycles-cbed6db275b54a3c89474ad3a4912dae) — Based on feedback, set to 7 days. 
4. Urgent and Emergency Governance Scenarios — Can be reviewed [here](https://www.notion.so/gm-DAO-Governance-Process-3e3dfa72b89448d69b6c27bde31b790d). 

We propose using the framework as outlined [**here](https://www.notion.so/gm-DAO-Governance-Process-3e3dfa72b89448d69b6c27bde31b790d).** 

We also need to nominate who in the DAO will be responsible for shepherding proposals through the process, and for what timeframe.
